Break out of Lockdown, May 2021

The 5 day 'Break out of Lockdown' trip from Thursday 27th May to Monday 31st May

Thursday - London to the Cotswolds stopping for nice pub lunch at Streatley. Then ride through the Cotswolds ending end up at The Kings Head, Bledington.

Friday - From Bledington heading into South Wales and making way through the Brecon Beacons National Park on scenic country roads to Llandeilo.

Saturday - Heading up through Mid Wales on some lovely scenic roads towards Snowdonia National Park and over the Menai Bridge to Anglesey staying overnight at Beaumaris.

Sunday - From Anglesey up through a very congested Bank Holiday Snowdonia and heading south over some beautiful high moorlands through the centre of Wales. Not forgetting the sweeping Devil's Elbow on A483 near Builth Wells before heading on to Glewstone, Ross on Wye.

Monday - Monday head east on the A40 stopping somewhere for lunch and hitting the M40 back into London.

Wales September 2021

We grabbed the chance to take a second slightly shorter trip to Wales from Thursday 2nd September to Sunday 5th September.

Thursday - This time a blast down the M4 from London to Chepstow for lunch and then through the Brecon Beacons, taking different route to last time to Llandeilo.

Friday - Heading North on scenic country roads towards Llandovery and up into the Towy valley passing the Llyn Brianne Lake and a series of reservoirs. Turning right at the top and heading down the steep Devil's Staircase before moving on to Rhayader for lunch. From here through the spectacular Elan Valley and lakes on up to LLanidloes with more brilliant roads and scenery to Machynlleth and finally Dollgelau for the night.

Saturday - From Dollgelau skirting Snowdonia towards Bala and heading on over the hills to Denbigh. Then heading South towards the Horseshoe Pass and Llangollen going on to stay overnight near Ludlow. We even managed to take in the Devil's Elbow again on the way!

Sunday - Headin back east on the A40 stopping somewhere for lunch and hitting the M40 back into London.
